Is it right for Churches to hand round donation plates?
Isnt it better to have a donation box, where you can leave a donation if you CAN and WANT to? does it not make people feel bad if they dont give, or bad if they cant give or bad if they dont give as much as the last person? Surely a donation because you want to leave one, in private, without pressure and from the right motivation is worth more? Do Churches still pass round donation plates/bowls today anyway, or just stand in the doorway as you walk out-sort of same thing though?
Are you refering to giving of tithes and offerings?
If you are then ask yourself this question. Would you really steal from God? God gives us 100% so all he asks is we give back a mere portion of that.
When you give to God you are giving to further the ministry; such as paying for the pews, the windows, stationary and even ministers wages and so forth.
I sure would not rob God!
