Mini Collector
A collector called my place of employment and forgot the mini miranda warning?
I was contacted by a debt collector at work ( a collection agency for defaulted student loans lol) regarding an old 50$ co-pay, that I knew I owed, just slipped through the cracks, I live in western new york (not nyc) but the collector didnt even try calling me at my home phone before calling my place of employment, furthermore, on this inital contact the collector failed to give me the "mini miranda" warning, which to the best of my knowledge, is required by law on at least the inital contact, can I get money from these fellow blood suckers with posible FDCPA violations? 
They CAN contact you at work, they just can't discuss your "issue" with your superior or co-workers. As far as a "mini-miranda" as you describe it, they've probably been sending collection letters for months. (They generally do) and you are given that warning multiple times prior to the phone call. Probably not sufficient to allow you to recover under the FDCPA. Small claims them. The max recovery is 1,000.00 per occurrence anyway, so it should be well within the jurisdiction of the court. That way you don't unload more on attorney's fees than on the debt itself. (Which if you owe it, pay it and be done with these scumbags.)
