What would happen if plate speed increased at a convergent boundary?
I'm wondering what would happen if the western side of the Pacific plate increased in speed where it meets the Indian plate while the Eastern side diverging from the Nazca plate continued to diverge at current pace? What would the outcome be for world plate tectonics?
The Pacific Plate would subduct at a faster rate than before, meaning more volcanic activity, and more earthquakes in the western Pacific Ocean
