antique carved wood drunk man on a lamp post?
I have an antique wooden lamp that is a drunk man leaning on a lamp post. The man's head moves from side to side and he whistles a tune when it is turned on.
Has anyone ever seen or heard of one of these? Any information such as maker, value etc... would be appreciated.
Sounds like something made once by someone with a sense of humor. If there are any kind of marks on it, (ie: name stamp on bottom or somewhere not too conspicuous, date, etc...) You may be able to glean more information. As for value, try taking a look through the various books in your local library that deal with collecting and values. "Folk Art" maybe.
